Anyone can leave a short voice note here. It's recorded in your browser, with no name, account or phone number attached. Notes arrive in the Intake Room, and each one is reviewed before anything is published. Approved notes are logged, given the next file number and dated with the day they were received.
The newest file waits on the desk in the Intake Room, and every approved note is kept in the Archive, numbered in order from File 001. There are 19 files so far, about 10 minutes of voices, and most are under a minute long.
What people leave is up to them: small confessions, field notes, things said to no one in particular. The Office doesn't reply. It keeps them, so that someone else, some other night, can press play.
Rooms
- Intake Room: the latest file, the recorder and a small group chat. Autoplay or Shuffle carries on through the whole archive.
- Archive: every file, newest first, each with its own page.
- Ambiance (beta): an hour of rain to play underneath the notes, with its own volume.
- Group chat (beta): a small live chat for whoever's here. Messages are up to 140 characters, and only the most recent are kept.
Elsewhere
Some approved notes are also shared as short posts on Instagram and Threads.
